Whew...What a week!

We have had a really busy and productive week already and it is only Wednesday. Let's see where to begin.

Starting last week Ellen and Trevor began swim lessons. Ella has been doing Level 2 while Trevor is in a pre-school class. They both love it! The first day Trevor had a really hard time when it was time to get out of the pool, but since then he has gotten the drill and they seem to be enjoying it and learning a lot. In fact, so much that they have both began blessing that they will have fun at swim lessons in their prayers. So cute! They will finish up tomorrow for this session and then we will take a break, but plan on taking a few more sessions this summer.

On Tuesday both Ellen and Trevor had Dentist appointments. I am happy to report that they are both cavity free!!! Ellen was once again great and loves getting her teeth worked on. She giggled the whole time they cleaned her teeth. Trevor was the real break-through of this trip. Up until this point the best that we were able to get him to do is let the dentist look at his teeth with Trevor's toothbrush. Last time we went they tried to get xrays and he put up with it for a little while, but the hygenist was really picky with how he held the film in his mouth and he quickly got frustrated. The Hygenist this time was smart and decided to brush his teeth first and I am proud to report that he let her!!! She was able to clean all of his teeth with their toothbrush. By the time the dentist came he was done and once again the dentist only got to look with a toothbrush instead of his tools, but we are making improvements.

Tuesday also brought a big day for Landon. I am proud to report that he is now a certified Safe Hunter. He was able to finally go and have his field day for his hunter safety course and passed. They even gave him a really neat hat. He is so excited and can't wait to get his licensce now.

His really neat hat!

To finish up the start of this busy week Ellen and Trevor were able to go for a train ride today. Union Pacific decided to offer train rides as part of a safety program. My cousin MaryEllen works as a 911 dispatcher and was able to get tickets for my Aunt Linda to take some of the kids on a train ride. Ella and Trevor were lucky enough to be some of those kids. The ride that was supposed to be an hour long ended up being almost 2 1/2 hours after getting pushed into the siding a couple of times, but they loved the whole thing. Both came back home telling me all about the train. We are so glad they were able to get this experience.

The cousins, Megan and Allie Raschke.

With the already busy start to the week behind us we have a just as busy week to come. Starting this morning I have been participating in an online professional development conference for IDLA and that will continue for the next two days. Then on Friday we are taking off to Boise for the Hill Family Reunion as well as my Half-Marathon and Father's Day.

Bring it!
