Sisters Supreme Rock Again

Last year I joined a group that we called, Sisters Supreme. We changed a bunch of words to ABBA songs so that they were Relief Society and Mommy friendly. We bought special shoes and made outfits and came up with props and choreography to go with it. We had a few performances last year, but have been on hiatus since the early fall, until now.

We got asked to sing for our Stake Relief Society Conference. One of our original members has moved away, so we added in a replacement and it was so much fun!

Our repertoire includes "Take a chance on Relief Society" (Take a chance on me), "Sleep Deprive" (The winner takes it all), "If I pay my Tithing" (Money, Money, Money), "Visiting Teaching SOS" (SOS), "Mama Rhapsody" (Bohemian Rhapsody, by Queen), and "Future Queen" (Dancing Queen).

These two pictures are from our "Mama Rhapsody" scene. We are jamming out on Guitar Hero guitars and then we are brought back to reality with all of our chores. I am on the far left.
We practiced at least once a week for about a month to get our skills honed back in and make sure we had our two new songs that we added this year down pat. In that time I really came to truly love these woman. They have become some of my dearest friends. Jenny is a wonder woman who inspires me to do better. Camie is the sweetest girl you will ever meet and is so cheerful you just can't help but be happy when you are with her. Carol is the best at making you laugh and feel at ease no matter what the situation is. I admire these women for their beauty, and strength, and pure goodness. Plus they are a whole heck of a lot of fun! They truly have become my "sisters."

As we look at the possibility of moving away, these women are one of the things I will miss the most. But hey, Sisters Supreme is willing to tour, so why can't they come to where ever we end up and give a show there. This will not be the end. The Sisters Supreme will rock again!
