In the musical "The Drowsy Chaperone" there is a song that has a line that I think of ALL THE TIME with Baby Kat. The song, "Love is Always Lovely", is between the butler, Underling, and an old lady with Dementia, Mrs.Tottensdale. It says:
Underling: May I pose a question Madame? Why does nothing I say to you every get through?
Tottensdale: Don't mind if I do.
I watch my sprouting little angel baby and know that, as I speak to her, she understands me. And then decides to just do what she wants. Here we have case in point.
